ASIALUXE TRAVEL AND ZAMIN DMC REPRESENTED UZBEKISTAN AT WTM SPOTLIGHT RIYADH 2026

RIYADH / TASHKENT, September 10, 2026 — Tour operator Asialuxe Travel and destination management company Zamin DMC participated in the international tourism exhibition WTM Spotlight Riyadh 2026, held in Riyadh from September 8 to 10.
WTM Spotlight Riyadh became one of the key professional platforms connecting Saudi Arabia’s tourism market with international partners. The exhibition brought together tour operators, destination management companies, representatives of the hotel and aviation sectors, travel technology providers, and other tourism industry professionals from Saudi Arabia and abroad.
For Asialuxe Travel and Zamin DMC, participation in WTM Spotlight Riyadh provided an opportunity to present Uzbekistan’s tourism potential directly to one of the most promising markets in the Middle East.
Over the course of three days, representatives of the companies held business meetings and negotiations with tourism industry professionals from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The parties discussed opportunities for developing partnership programmes, attracting Saudi tourists to Uzbekistan, and creating new tourism products connecting the two countries.
Particular attention was given to promoting Uzbekistan as a destination for cultural, family, luxury, and tailor-made travel. Saudi partners were introduced to the tourism opportunities offered by Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent, and other regions of the country, as well as the historical heritage of the Great Silk Road, modern hotel infrastructure, and options for organising individual and group tours.
As part of the business programme, a separate event was held with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential was organised for representatives of local travel companies. During the event, the parties discussed practical areas of cooperation between the tourism businesses of the two countries.
One of the central topics of the negotiations was the development of transport connectivity and the prospects for launching direct flights on the Tashkent–Riyadh–Tashkent route.
The launch of direct air services could significantly simplify travel between the two countries, make tourism programmes more accessible, and create a solid foundation for the steady growth of mutual tourist flows.
SAUDI ARABIA — A PROMISING NEW MARKET
The growing interest in cooperation with Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector is also driven by the major transformation currently taking place within the Kingdom.
As part of its national Vision 2030 strategy, Saudi Arabia is actively investing in the development of tourism, transport infrastructure, the hospitality sector, the entertainment industry, and international events.
The development of projects such as Qiddiya, Diriyah, King Salman Park, and New Murabba is gradually transforming Riyadh into one of the region’s emerging tourism and business hubs.
This creates opportunities in both directions: attracting more travellers from Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan while simultaneously developing a new tourist flow from Uzbekistan to the Kingdom.
