Passengers carrier rules

Passenger and baggage rules — check-in, denied boarding, tickets and cabin baggage.

According to clause 3 of UP-5156 dated 16.08.2017, a biometric passport of a citizen of Uzbekistan (green passport) is valid for departure from Uzbekistan only until 1 January 2021. After that date, departure is possible only with a new-type biometric foreign passport (red passport).

At the same time, you may travel within Uzbekistan and enter Uzbekistan with a green passport until it expires.

Passenger and baggage check-in is performed at airport check-in desks or other points specified by the carrier.

Check-in start times for Uzbekistan Airways flights

  • 3 hours before the departure time shown on the ticket
  • 3 hours 30 minutes before departure from Pulkovo International Airport (St. Petersburg)
  • At Khabarovsk airport — starts 3.5 hours and ends 1 hour before departure
  • 5 hours before departure from Blagoveshchensk airport

Check-in end times for Uzbekistan Airways flights

  • 30 minutes before departure on all domestic flights
  • 1 hour before departure from Tashkent, Ankara, Moscow (Vnukovo), St. Petersburg, Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, London (Heathrow and Gatwick), Milan, Munich, Rome, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, New York, Sharjah, Dubai, Bangkok, Beijing, Nha Trang and Seoul
  • 2 hours before departure from Blagoveshchensk airport

Boarding for Uzbekistan Airways flights starts 1 hour and ends 20 minutes before departure. If you arrive late for boarding, the airline may deny carriage.

  • When necessary to ensure aviation security and passenger health
  • To prevent violations of laws and regulations of any country to, from or through which carriage is performed
  • If the passenger refuses to follow the carrier rules, instructions and directions
  • If the passenger is ill and their condition endangers themselves or others
  • If the passenger has incorrectly issued documents required for the flight or border crossing
  • Passengers who create a risk of harm to other people or their property
  • Passengers under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Passengers whose actions violate established air transport rules

In some cases, if boarding on a booked flight is denied due to the carrier fault, additional services or compensation may be provided under established rules.

The ticket is valid only for the flight and date shown and only for the person named on the ticket.

Full or partial refunds are made at the place of purchase within one year from the purchase date if carriage was not performed on any segment. If part of the ticket was used, refund may be possible from the date of use (unless fare rules state otherwise).

When buying a ticket or changing carriage conditions (flight, class, departure date, etc.), consult the carrier or agent about fare terms. Failure to do so may increase the fare and/or add fees. Special fares may charge for cancellation or booking changes.

Passengers may take cabin baggage under their own responsibility free of charge. Total weight must not exceed 8 kg; maximum size must not exceed 115 cm in the sum of three dimensions.

The carrier may limit or refuse baggage in excess of the free allowance.

If more baggage is presented than was pre-booked and paid for, it is accepted only if capacity is available and the corresponding surcharge is paid.

The carrier is not liable for fragile, valuable or perishable items in checked baggage. Cash, valuables and documents must be carried by the passenger personally.
